In the work of Montelungo.studio, games are shaped through subtraction. Rules, constraints, and instructions are progressively reduced until the system stops occupying all the space. The design process stops before closing in on itself, leaving room for use, interpretation, and error.
From that point on, what happens depends on the choices, intentions, and way of playing of those at the table. The protagonist is not the game, but the one who uses it.
